How it works

  1. 01Choose 15, 30, or 60 seconds and an open, perfect-word, precision, or WPM challenge.
  2. 02Type your first letter to start the clock. Press Space or Enter to submit each word.
  3. 03Build your flow meter with perfect words and watch your WPM and accuracy update live.
  4. 04Review your result, race a replay of your completed run on the same passage, or practise just your missed words.

Benefits

  • Warms up fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • Builds an easy daily focus-priming ritual
  • Tracks WPM and accuracy so you can see progress
  • Short bursts fit into any pre-work routine

The science

Brief motor warm-ups prime the sensorimotor system, and a short, measurable task creates an on-ramp to focus — easing you past the friction of getting started.

Frequently asked questions

How is WPM calculated?+

Words per minute is based on the standard of five characters per word, scaled to a full minute and adjusted for accuracy, so faster typing with errors does not inflate your score.

How do ghosts and challenges work?+

A full timed run creates a ghost for that duration. Race it on the same passage with a second cursor replaying your actual timing, or try a perfect-word streak, a 30-second precision challenge, or beating your previous WPM. Runs stay in memory while the warmup is open and clear when you leave or reload.

Can I adjust sound and motion?+

Sound starts off. Choose Soft, Wood, or Glass for optional keystroke feedback. Reduced motion removes cursor smoothing, word-settle animations, and milestone ripples; your device’s reduced-motion preference is also respected.

Does it work on mobile?+

Yes — tap the test area to bring up your keyboard, though a physical keyboard gives the most accurate WPM.
